DONATE to support our programmes for Writers and Readers of all ages!
Thanks to our sponsors, Bocas Lit Fest has become, in just 15 years, an essential part of the Caribbean’s cultural infrastructure and a key contributor to Trinidad and Tobago’s global reputation.
Now we need YOUR support to keep Caribbean literature alive and help the region’s writers, emerging and established, thrive and achieve international attention.
A one-time or monthly recurring donation from supporters like you will help us continue providing FREE programming like Family Reading Circle, our Children’s Storytelling Caravan, the First Words Young Writers’ Development Programme, our schools outreach, monthly events at The Writers Centre, and, last but not least, the annual Bocas Lit Fest at the National Library.
Simply click on the DONATE button below to help us develop and promote local and Caribbean writers, grow generations of readers and critical thinkers, and fulfil our region’s literary potential!

Yes. Bocas Lit Fest has to find funding each year to undertake its projects. Increasingly, we need the support of individuals to continue our work for a better society and future. We are hugely grateful for it because working with children and young people over time is important for the many challenges society faces.
Because we are registered as an arts not-for-profit entity we think your donations should qualify you – you can help us lobby.
We enjoy our supporters being engaged in what we do so we will endeavour to apply funds to your favourite area of our work. Our Annual Report explains how monies have been spent.
Apart from the satisfaction of contributing to growing Caribbean society, its culture and its people, donors receive a 5% discount on Bocas Academy workshops, branded Bocas Lit Fest merchandise and books purchased at Paper Based Bookstore and at The Writers Centre in Port of Spain, plus a 10% discount on ticketed festival events and workshops.

Each year BLF files Annual Returns and its annual accounts have been externally audited since 2010. BLF is registered with the Financial Investigation Unit and is compliant with all necessary financial and legal procedures relevant to its operation. The NGO has retained nearly all its original sponsors, both cash and in kind, who have been satisfied with its management and the impact of its work.
You can trust the BLF and if you love what we do, but the commitment of a recurring annual sponsorship is not for you, we invite you to give whatever you can in whatever way you can or give a gift to someone else.
